Hi I’m Steve

I am honoured to be the State Member of Parliament for the Oakleigh District. As an Oakleigh local, I grew up in this community and still live here today because I believe it’s the best part of Melbourne.

As your representative in State Government I am proud to have secured funding for a variety of projects including new hospitals and sporting facilities, as well as school and transport infrastructure upgrades. #BREAKING Our Regional Tourism Investment Fund is now open.

Oakleigh. Haughton Road. One year since we brought in 225 extra bus services a week on the 733 and 767 bus routes. More buses and more than 600,000 extra trips in less than 12 months.

Last year, Landcare volunteers spent a total of 820,000 hours protecting and preserving the Victorian landscape- that’s over 93 years worth of volunteer work.

School Breakfast Clubs. More than 40 million healthy meals served in 1000 schools - and now we'll expand clubs to every government school. We all know it's hard to concentrate or learn on an empty stomach. We brought these clubs back to make a real difference for kids.

We’ve opened a new conservation hatchery at Snobs Creek - one of the engine rooms of Victoria’s record-breaking fish stocking program.
